First steps
- Check every door and the trunk.
- If a child or animal is inside, call 911 first.
- Ask someone with a spare key or a car app to help.
What to tell us
- Which lot and row, and the nearest entrance.
- Year, make and model.
- Whether the key is inside, lost or broken.
Proof
Photo ID and registration or another proof of ownership.
Do not
- Do not use a wedge or coat hanger, which can damage seals and wiring.
- Do not accept help from strangers who approach you in the lot.
Parking structures and access
Parking garages and lots around the mall have limited signal and many identical rows. Tell us the level, the row or a nearby entrance so the technician can find you. If a fee gate blocks entry, mention it so we can plan.
Staying safe while you wait
Wait in a lit place near an entrance or security desk rather than alone in a dark corner of the lot. Keep your phone charged and have your registration and ID ready.
What we will ask when you call
We ask for the level or lot, the nearest entrance, the make, model and colour of the vehicle, and whether anyone is inside. We also ask for proof that the car is yours, such as your registration and photo ID. If a pet or child is in the vehicle, say so first and call 911 if the situation is urgent. Stay near the car in a lit area until the technician arrives.
